Narritive

This week we had to write a story based on this video. First we watched a bit of this video then we talked about what we saw felt and wondered and we also talked about the character and the old rusty yellow plane.

After that we planned it on a planning sheet.

This is my story, can I please have some feedback on how I did writing my story.

Once upon a time a harbor was whole with water as clear as diamonds dancing in a hole. Where the waves once lapped up strongly against the vessels making them tremble in their wake.

While everyone was at sea the rainbow boats were smiling at me until one day when the mighty desert wind came up in gusts roaring like a wild beast tangled up in nets then it started throwing up all the sea until there was no more water to be seen.

A small girl at the age of 11 crawled out of a boat wreck surprisingly alive. As she saw the wreck of her father's boat she suddenly started to lose hope. Crying she fled into her house. As quiet as a mouse she found her father's old plane and flew it into the wild blue yonder.

Then a lighthouse started to shine but how and why is it shining then she sees a cloud as light as an angel shining so bright she suddenly started to tumble out of sight down down the girl fell falling right into a well. The dried up well helped her hatch a plan to make a rain machine. So she made a machine and it rained. After it rained she found her family

How to add fractions with unlike denominators

Hello viewers of my blog how is your day going?
Today I am back with another D.L.O if you don't know what that is it is a Digital Learning object that teaches others about what you have been learning. Ok so that's enough on what it is so here's my introduction to why I made this D.L.O.
I made this D.L.O because we are learning to add and subtract fractions with unlike denominators we have been doing this topic for a few weeks now. Here's what we have done this week.
This is the link to my D.L.O    I really enjoyed making this D.L.O because it is colourful and eye catching. I would rate 7/10 because I got a bit muddled up in the middle.

Ouucchhh !!!

On Wednesday night at gym training I Injured (Broke) my toe. It was really sore I'm a bit worried it won't heal for when I go to nationals for gym and I hope it does heal soon.  😭 😭

Today we went to the Student summit toolkits to learn how to use different tools on our chromebooks like Soundtrap,Voki,Screencastify,Google sites & even more we got to choose what Toolkits we went to I choose Voki use your voice Here's my Voki and Blogger how to write Great posts I really liked blogger because we made blog profiles on piktochart and I really enjoyed that I also posted my profile. My group are doing how to make a quality screencastify DLO Here's our presentation.

Today it is book character day and me and my friends came as the the 3 blind mice and bridget was the farmers wife

It was really fun and I enjoyed being a mouse for the day

National champs

😾😜🍓 Yesterday my mum got a email from the Canterbury Gymsports saying that I have qualified for the national Rhythmic Gymnastics Champs. To qualify for nationals I had to get in the top twenty out of the 60 NZ gymnasts and I got 20th in the country and I am going up to Auckland in October to compete on the 8th to the 10th of October.

If you have any fundraising ideas please comment them because the costs for everything is quite high. 🍓😜😾

Books books and more books

This week on monday (August 7th).We went to St Margaret's College for the day We saw Authors and Illustrators from all around New Zealand and they talked about there books and the story behind their books and what they had to do to write the books.

is an author who has written many books including Super finn,conrad coopers last stand and the impossible boy.

Jenny Cooper

She is an award winning illustrator, illustrating over 70 books including war based books and childrens books.

My holiday trip part One (there will be a part two by the end of the week)

In the holidays I went to hawaii it was really fun. we saw lots of awesome things like mars (the old lava flow formed rock and it looks like mars) a live volcano black sand beaches and even cool pools.

We went on thursday the week before school ended on the 9 hour flight it was boring if you were wondering and my two younger brothers just could not sit still we got there in the end and it was 36 degrees celsius we went to the island oahu to honolulu and stay two nights we did a lot not a little but a lot of shopping on those two days. then we got on another plane and went to hawaii (the main island) the flight was 26 minutes long and when we arrived we drove to the the kings land (a five star hotel) and settled in then we hopped on the hotels shuttle and went to queens market place we also did lots of swimming in that day. For the rest of the week we did sight seeing and swimming and tanning in the hot sun on the black sand beaches.

wellington

On Friday two weeks ago I went  to up wellington for a gymnastics competition. I went with my cousin Holly and my Auntie Katherine We flew up and stayed in camellia court hotel. I saw the beehive its so coolI also went on a train for the first time The next day we had the comp and we came third.

Week Two

This week we have been making superheros It is really fun.Mine is called stretchy lexi this the bio I came up with for her. One night in the streets of London Lexi walked into the evil villain Liquid man.He offered her a drink of toxic stretching acid she did not know that it was toxic acid she took it and in one Gulp she started to feel like she was being stretched ……………………………..............................................
She woke up and realised she had stretched and she discovers how to use that power and that's when she became stretchy lexi. Stretches like a rubber band. Has many cool accessories. And likes to help the fire department save people from heights. Without her liquid man would fill the world with his toxic liquid.

  Reflection

Week One

This Week I Enjoyed NZ social Studies Because  it was fun and challenging did you know that NZ  is a country of immigrants the first people to come to NZ were called the maoriories from the pacific islands and when the maoriories died out there the next generation maoriories were called Maoris.



                           I am Reading Harry Potter and the philosopher's stone I think it's a really good book and recommend it for 8yrs and older. Its really fun and I have designed a new cover for the book.My aim is to have finished all the activities and the book by the end of next week.
